Brock Lesnar has been absent from the in-ring action for some time, as it was revealed that the ‘Beast Incarnate’ was involved in some scandals following Vince McMahon’s lawsuit. The Stamford-based company removed Lesnar from all possible creative plans, but that changed recently.
A little while back, WWE updated their roster page on their website, and the 10-time WWE World Champion was seen included in the new update. As ‘The Beast’ is back now, WWE fans are wondering if he will have a potential fight with ‘The Ring General’ Gunther at WrestleMania 40.
Brock Lesnar added back to the WWE roster page
Brock Lesnar last faced off against ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes in August at Summerslam 2024 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The match showcased Cody and Brock employing every move in their arsenal to outdo each other, with Rhodes emerging victorious towards the end. Surprisingly, post-match, Lesnar displayed a new side of his character by shaking Cody’s hand and congratulating him on the well-fought match.
However, following this, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ became embroiled in Mr. McMahon’s lawsuit with his ex-employee. Those opposing Vince started pointing fingers at Brock for his alleged involvement in backstage misconduct. Several accusations were leveled against the 46-year-old wrestler, leading WWE to take decisive action by completely distancing Brock Lesnar from anything associated with the company.
Just as fans started wondering if ‘The Beast’ would ever return, WWE suddenly surprised the fans by updating their website. The recent edition on the WWE roster page showed Brock’s name being re-added, surprising WWE fans around the world. This whole new change, speaks of a potential match for Lesnar and fans are anticipating who he will face in the upcoming premium live events.
Brock Lesnar’s potential WrestleMania 40 opponent
The ‘Show of Shows’ WrestleMania 40 is right around the corner, and fans are now pondering a new match card that involves Brock Lesnar clashing with a wrestler of his caliber. Undoubtedly, a potential fight between Gunther and Brock Lesnar for the Intercontinental Championship will add more excitement to the upcoming April event.
One fan suggested, “Brock/Gunther could be back on. Like MITB, just add him at the end and boom, done.” Summarizing, similar to the last-minute change in Money in the Bank last year, this year too, WWE should add Brock near the end. Another fan commented, “Maybe… we are getting Gunther vs. Brock. Okay, I’m not going that far; maybe he comes back during the summer if everything is fine.”
WWE fans were disappointed after the match between Gunther was reportedly nixed due to the controversy surrounding Janel Grant’s lawsuit. Now Brock’s presence is revived and fans want to see the master of ‘Kimura Lock’ back in action again. As Lesnar was replaced by Bron Breakker back at Royal Rumble 2024, fans would love to see him in action for the first time this year.
