Brock Purdy explores potential post-NFL career opportunity during 49ers’ bye week working on his fiancée’s farm in Iowa

Being a part of any NFL team’s contingent is a tough job. Being on the road for the majority of the season, always being in the limelight, and the pressure to perform week-in week-out for the team’s faithful.

However, bye-weeks are one time during the season when players can restore their energy by doing what they love outside the gridiron. Brock Purdy, the star quarterback of the much-followed San Francisco 49ers, has quite an interesting take on things to do during this week.

Brock Purdy works on his fiancée’s farm

The San Francisco 49ers haven’t had the best starts to their season. A three-game losing streak and less-than-ideal performances from Purdy have resulted in the 49ers dropping to second place in the NFC West standings. Brock Purdy must’ve also been looking forward to the bye-week to get away from it all and regain his mojo.

His way to do it? Work on his future in-law’s farm driving their combine harvester.

Purdy’s fiancée Jenna Brandt uploaded a story on her profile showing the 23-year-old signal-caller working alongside her father with the caption, “Wrapping up harvest ’23.” Surely one of the more bizarre ways to spend time with family outside the gridiron.

Netizens also appreciated Purdy’s interesting take on relaxation, with one commenting, “A little combine time can cure a lot of things. Hopefully Brock can get some relaxation from n, come back ready to go, and just let the game come to him. He has been a joy to watch!”

Deebo Samuel on the doubt surrounding Brock Purdy

With the 49ers reeling from a dreadful losing streak, doubts have started emerging from the team’s faithful support, with QB Brock Purdy bearing the brunt of it all. Fans have started to question his performances and his place in the team as well. Deebo Samuel, WR of the 49ers defended his teammate in a recent interview.

In a chat with Kay Adams on her show “Up & Adams”, Samuel spoke on doubts surrounding the QB and how he should move forward and focus on his performances inside the gridiron. On being questioned on the amount of hate received by Purdy after the three losses, he said, “Let ’em talk. The better you are as a player, the more doubters and haters you’re gonna have.”

This speaks to the level of trust the team has in their young quarterback and how the team as a whole looks forward to bouncing back from this slump. The 49ers will go up against the Jacksonville Jaguars in their next game on Sunday, 12th November.
