Iowa’s basketball sensation Caitlin Clark has again become the center of attention with her new record after creating history a couple of days ago. Keeping the trend of being in the limelight, Caitlin Clark yet again proved why she is at the top of the NCAA tree.
Readying herself to leave the NIL money in favor of more glory, Caitlin’s presence at the college b-ball circuit is now more valuable than ever. She is certainly making sure that she makes it count, while NBA greats like LeBron James have showered praise on the youngster.
Caitlin Clark breaks NCAA all-time scoring record
Playing against the second-seeded team in the country, Ohio State Buckeyes last night, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark scored 35 points, breaking the record of Pete Maravich (3,667 points) by totaling 3,685 career points.
The Hawkeyes point guard needed 18 points to break the record which she scored in the first half thanks to the technical foul free throws. Clark scored six 3-pointers in the game along with 6 rebounds and 9 assists contributing to the 93-83 victory.
At half-time when she was asked about her new record, she said that she did not think about it during the game. Caitlin said, “when they announced it and everybody screamed, that’s when I knew. Pretty cool.”

The 22-year-old recently broke Kelsey Plum’s record of 3,527 points to become the leading scorer of NCAA women’s basketball. In the same game, she recorded a career-high 49 points in a single game breaking Megan Gustafson’s 48 points record. She expressed gratefulness for her latest achievement to her teammates, coaches and family.
