The Arizona Cardinals are on cloud nine right now after securing an unexpected win over the Dallas Cowboys in their Week 3 match at State Farm Stadium. Besides the victory, the Cardinals had another reason to be happy as they cut of the Cowboys’ undefeated streak this season.
The Dallas Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons was boasting about his team prior to the face-off, and now, the Arizona quarterback Josh Dobbs delivered an embarrassing reply to his pride following a 28-16 win over their opponents on Sunday.
Josh Dobbs’ playful response to Micah Parsons’ pregame antics
During a recent episode of “The Edge With Micah Parsons” podcast before the Week 3 match, Micah threw a jab at Josh by saying he was putting the Cardinals vet “on a bulletin board” and “throwing darts” at him.
However, little did the All-Pro edge rusher know that his mighty team would go down to the underdog Cardinals. The victory gave Josh Dobbs a chance to give it back to the Cowboys‘ vet, and he did so by posting a TikTok video where he acted to dodge the Cowboys star “darts” while finishing the segment with “Go Cards.”
The former Tennessee Volunteer possessed all the right to shade his rival as he played a vital role in the Cardinals’ win by completing 17 passes out of 21 throws for 189 yards with no interceptions. He scored his one touchdown by pairing up with Marquise Brown at the end zone.
Meanwhile, Micah too proved his on-field caliber by recording five tackles, one sack, two QB hits along with one TFL, albeit his performance was not enough to let him have the last laugh over the Cradinals, and eventually, he had to face a “Tit for tat” situation.
Cowboys missed out on their first 3-0 start since 2019
The Cowboys ended their first two weeks of the regular season by clinching victories over the New York Giants and New York Jets. The team had a record of going 3-0 since 2019, albeit the chance of continuing the streak seemed shaky as they headed to their Sunday’s match without having three starters in the squad.
Trevon Diggs is out for the entire season while Zack Martin couldn’t play due to a high ankle sprain and Tyler Biadasz was also out of the field due to a hamstring strain. Although Tyron Smith was active in the squad, he did not start due to a knee injury. The team eventually felt the absence of the key veterans as they managed only one touchdown in five red zone trips, and their defense also had 10 sacks and seven takeaways.
Micah’s team will face off against the New England Patriots on October 2. Do you think that they will be able to bounce back stronger to ensure a victory over Bill Belichick’s squad? Tell us in the comments.
