As for Skip Bayless, his undying devotion to Brady has been well-documented. Not only did he criticize Bill Belichick, but he also said that Tom Brady gets 75% of the credit for the Patriots’ dynasty.
However, this assertion didn’t sit well with everyone, particularly Charles Barkley, who expressed his disdain for the Fox Sports analyst.

While on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Charles Barkley openly shared his strong feelings towards Bayless and explained how he enjoys confronting Bayless’s controversial opinions.
“You know how much I hate Skip Bayless. I hate him with every fiber. Sometimes he makes me want to gain weight back so I can hate him with even more weight. People send me these hot takes and I love going hard at people.”
Barkley then took aim at Bayless’s recent comments about Brady and Belichick, labeling them as “stupid and asinine.” He highlighted Bayless’s assertion that Brady was solely responsible for the Patriots’ success, countering with the example of Andy Reid’s reliance on Patrick Mahomes, emphasizing the importance of giving credit where it’s due.
“Because to sit there and say, ‘Bill only won championships because of Tom Brady,’ that’s stupid and asinine. Andy Reid’s a great person, he’s a great coach. But how many championships has he won without Patrick Mahomes? So stop trying to hate on Bill Belichick.”
In all honesty, both Belichick and Reid possess strong coaching abilities, but their potential wasn’t fully recognized until they had a talented quarterback like Brady and Mahomes leading their teams. Therefore, while Barkley criticized Bayless for his statement, the statistical evidence supports Bayless’s argument.

Just like Skip Bayless admires Tom Brady, Charles Barkley strongly dislikes the outspoken sports commentator. During his time on TNT, Barkley has frequently expressed his distaste for Bayless. Despite this, the specific cause of Barkley’s hostility was not clear until he revealed it in an episode of ‘All The Smoke’.
The former NBA great player eventually spoke up about his animosity for the sports commentator throughout the program, blaming a lot of things on television’s influence. He mentioned that Balyless’ criticism of others is fine, but occasionally he goes too far with personal attacks.
“I don’t like the guy because television is a very powerful weapon. Everybody watches television, and I don’t mind you criticizing guys, but it can never be too personal. You can’t talk about people like that because you have to be fair and honest with people,” he said, per Sportskeeda.
Meanwhile, Barkley himself garnered attention for threatening Stephen A Smith while throwing a subtle dig at Zion Williamson’s fitness.
