Charles Leclerc lavishes praise on Ollie Bearman after brilliant Saudi Arabian GP performance: “He’s done an amazing job”

Charles Leclerc has consistently displayed care and admiration for his former teammate Carlos Sainz, regardless of the circumstances, emphasizing their collective improvement in the Italian based outfit.

However, after the Spaniard hospitalised with appendicitis, their partnership was temporarily interrupted. Nevertheless, Leclerc has also expressed considerable admiration for Sainz’s replacement driver, Ollie Bearman, applauding his impressive debut performance.

Everyone, including Ferrari’s main driver, Charles Leclerc, was incredibly impressed by the young Ollie Bearman’s debut performance at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Bearman has officially become the third youngest driver on the grid to compete in a Formula 1 race, among all the other fiercely experienced opponents.

The British driver’s sportsmanship and driving skills had left every other driver, including Charles Leclerc, too stunned to speak. Despite being unable to secure Q3 for just 0.036s, Bearman had turned the tables by securing the P7 position in the Jeddah Circuit, ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris and seven-time World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.

In response to his stunning performance, Leclerc had heaped praises of the driver by stating, “I think everybody has seen that, but obviously having him in the same garage, seeing how he worked and how he approached this whole situation with so much calm was very, very impressive – obviously with so much excitement as well. But it was really impressive.”

He then went on to share a few more candid words, speaking on the Saudi Arabian GP and his team’s performance.

Leclerc has also highlighted the improvements made by the team in the car’s engine and overall teamwork, which helped him boost his confidence while driving on the circuit. After an extreme battle on the track, the driver has secured the third position, right behind Sergio Perez.

Expressing his satisfaction with his performance, the Spaniard stated, “We maximised our potential today and couldn’t have done better than this. We struggled a bit on the mediums; the hards were tricky at first but improved throughout the stint and I was able to set the fastest lap on them with a bit of help from DRS. All in all, I felt good in the car.”
