On the December 8th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte Flair suffered an injury during a match against Asuka. Her leg got caught on the top rope, leading to a painful fall and resulting in the injury. The injury was severe enough that she had to be assisted from the ring by the medical staff of WWE. As a result of this, her fans are concerned about her health and future in WWE.

PWInsider Mike Johnson has reported that The Queen has torn her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, which were diagnosed after the accidental fall from the top rope. However, there are also reports of her back getting strained because of the same incident. The series of injuries that she has received needed surgery to get her back in the ring. Fortunately, Charlotte Flair is reported to get her surgery soon.

On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, it was announced that Charlotte Flair would be absent from the company for an extended period. The Queen sustained a torn ACL and MCL during a singles match against Japanese WWE superstar Asuka, forcing her to leave the squared circle due to the injury.
WWE did not make any official announcements until a proper diagnosis was conducted. After following the scheduled procedures, it was found that Flair will be out for nine months due to the injuries she sustained, which means she will not be able to compete until August 2024. This also means that she will miss the upcoming WrestleMania 40.
