Cheifs QB Patrick Mahomes’ Airbnb rental plan proves successful before Super Bowl LVII

After the NFL GOAT Tom Brady retired from the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes seems to be next in line to become the next face of the NFL. Earning seven Super Bowl titles is undoubtedly a big task, but Mahomes has already won two among his three Super Bowl appearances.

Netflix featured the five-time Pro Bowler in their ‘Quarterback’ series along with the Minnesota Vikings Kirk Cousins, and the Philadelphia Eagles Marcus Mariota. Patrick revealed a hilarious fact by disclosing how he rented Airbnb several months ago before the recent Super Bowl where his team defeated the Eagles (38-35) after overcoming a 10-point deficit.

Netflix series reveals Mahomes’ pre-Super Bowl Airbnb booking

In a snap of the “Quarterback” series, Pat revealed to Eagles Jalen Hurts on Super Bowl opening night that he knew the Vince Lombardi trophy was coming in Arizona. Hence, he didn’t think twice to book a family Airbnb near State Farm Stadium three months before the Championship game.

“I got a crib like six minutes from our hotel, so my fam is gonna stay there,” Mahomes told.

Jalen asked, “You buy a house here?”

The two-time MVP replied, “No, I just Airbnbd it. I did that sh*t three months ago. I’m like bro. That sh*t blast up on the price!”

The signal-caller disclosed he did it to save money saying, “I’m like that s— blast up on the price”. However, his squad won and he became the 13th QB1 in the NFL to win multiple Super Bowls. The 27-year-old star also earned the title of the Most Valuable Player for the game and became only the seventh QB to win an MVP and the Lombardi trophy in the same season.

Where was Super Bowl LVII held?

The Super Bowl LVII was held in the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on February 12. The AFC champion Chiefs clinched victory over the NFC champion Eagles with a 38-35 record. The Chiefs were initially down 21–14 to Philly, albeit their QB moonlighted as a hero to turn the match in their favor at the end.

Patrick Mahomes

Last season was Pat’s squad’s fifth Super Bowl appearance in the NFL. The franchise lost their first Super Bowl (1966) to the Green Bay Packers and the 2020 Super Bowl defeat to Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers was their second defeat in the final match. On the other hand, they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the 1969 Super Bowl to earn their first Championship trophy and earned their second title in 2019 defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs squad appears to have already moved on from their recent success and is looking promising to steal another Super Bowl in the upcoming season with Mahomes at the helm.
