It is clear that the club consider him part of their long term future as he is a very crucial player to their system. With a release clause of a billion dollars as well, Chelsea may not be able to bring in the player. It seems only a swap deal could be the solution, if Real’s interest for James is stronger than their desire to see Valverde stay.
