Travis Kelce’s injury update
In the second quarter of Sunday’s game, Travis Kelce injured his ankle. With just over a minute left in the second quarter, he lost his balance after catching a short throw from Patrick Mahomes.
Except for Travis’s slip, it was not immediately apparent as a serious injury. But immediately after meeting the medical professionals, he was seen grabbing his right leg in discomfort and smashing his helmet in anger, which alarmed the crowd. Prior to halftime, with the score at 13-13, his injuries caused him to make his way to the locker room.
Fortunately, he was able to rejoin the action with a little under three minutes left in the third quarter after starting the period on the bench. His injury didn’t seem to derail his desire to win the game because, after returning to the field, he grabbed a 4-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes to give the Chiefs a 27-13 lead.
The two-time Super Bowl winner remained a strong weapon for the Chiefs’ offense, that the team understood in their season debut loss against the Detroit Lions in the absence of Kelce.

Apart from his on-field play, Kelce gained a lot of attention this season following his off-field play with Taylor Swift.
