After a rebellious season, the Kansas City Chiefs stars are making headlines for grasping top spots in the NFL Top 100. Among them, three of the Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones tarnished their previous record by being ranked among the top 10.
Before the season’s start, a trash talk regarding the league’s best player occurred among the Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals players. The argument was over Mahomes and Joe Burrow where Ja’Marr Chase and Kelce purportedly enlisted their name. Though Chase is stubborn to accept it, the Chiefs tight end appears to win the argument as his quarterback leads the NFL leaving Burrow behind.
Kelce rises to fifth place on NFL Top 100 list
The NFL unveiled the top 10 players in the NFL Top 100 on Monday night, bringing the NFL Top 100 back. For the first time in his career, the Chiefs’ reigning star occupied fifth place.

The TE GOAT recently finished a season in which he had 110 receptions for 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns while winning his second title. The 33-year-old’s 0.8 touchdowns per game are the most in NFL history for a tight end who has already been selected for seven All-Pro teams.
The tight end has featured in 123 games in his career and has 814 catches, which is the most of any tight end in the NFL’s first 10 seasons. With seven seasons in a row with at least 1,000 receiving yards, he is going to grow more and more irreplaceable for his team.
Chase responds to Travis Kelce’s comments with fiery mic skills
The start of the trash talk was just before the ring ceremony of the Chiefs. Burrow was asked about who the best player in the NFL was and the Bengals legend gave the nod to Pat though Chase asserted his friend Joe should be the name by quipping, “Pat Who?”
However, Chase’s insult prompted the two-time Super Bowl winner to teach him a good lesson. The Chiefs’ star then issued a stern warning on his “New Heights” podcast that he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce.
“It is what it is, dog. Who doesn’t love some good locker room banter, man? Shoutout to Ja’Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don’t you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes, now. If you wanna talk your s–t, talk your s–t pimp. Just better back it up.”
Nevertheless, the Chiefs’ wide receiver did not agree to put the matter to rest. Burrows’ Cinchy teammate stated on FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams show that he is looking forward to the matchup against the Chiefs to counter Mr. Kelce.
“I’m excited for it. I can’t wait for it. I don’t want to say too much because we already had Mr. Kelce come back with something, so I must be under somebody’s skin.”
One after another is adding fuel to the Chiefs-Bengals rivalry hinting at a heated season against Pat vs Burrow and Kelce vs Chase.
