Lewis Hamilton and Christian Horner aren’t on good terms at all, ever since the nerve-wracking season of the 2021 Formula 1 championship. On one hand, we have Lewis Hamilton criticizing Red Bull and on the other hand, we have Christian Horner downplaying Lewis Hamilton.
The entire scenario has become a hostile playground for Mercedes and Red Bull, and either of the sides can’t stop trying to speak against the other. In a recent incident, Christian Horner has come under fire for disrespecting Lewis.
Hamilton fans upset as Christian Horner joins in calling him a “clown”
Christian Horner had a fun time on a British talk show as they were having games and discussions regarding Formula 1. However, things started to escalate when one of the guests claimed he was a Lewis Hamilton fan. The other people made fun of him for that and Horner could be seen joining them while booing. Later, one of the guests started to comment on an incident involving Lewis Hamilton’s fashion sense.
He went to call Lewis Hamilton a clown for wearing an outfit he didn’t agree with and in spite of the fact that Christian Horner was present there, Horner did not stop and instead laughed along with the other guests over calling Lewis Hamilton a clown and other derogatory words.
Horner’s reaction lit a fire among Formula 1 fans and Lewis Hamilton supporters, as they couldn’t hold back from reprimanding Horner’s behaviour.
Marcelo Olivera was fuming on the fact that none of them defended one of the best drivers of the sport, “Shocking! It’s funny to see on live TV that people from this country don’t praise their GOAT.”
Another user named Lisa commented on the sick attitude of the guests present on the talk show: “The fact that not one of them defended Lewis just proves how sick British people are towards Lewis.”
Lewis Hamilton tired of Red Bull racing’s ongoing dominance
Lewis had already warned people about Red Bull dominance and he was sure of his statements after Max proved his prophecy of 18-19 wins right during the Las Vegas GP. Lewis Hamilton seems to have monitored Red Bull’s reactions closely as he commented on how the Austrian team too is bored about Max Verstappen continuously winning races and the excitement just isn’t there anymore.
“When you have so much success, no matter how hard you try, it’s hard to keep things in perspective. I even hear it in Christian Horner’s voice when Max wins. He doesn’t know what to say. He’s like: ‘Here we go again. Good job, Max. Good job.'” Hamilton said in a conversation with media.
“The excitement goes, but when you first get that win, it’s amazing. But if you have it all the time…” he added. “I think through adversity and through this experience for two years, I feel like I’ve learned a huge amount as a driver – not necessarily on track but particularly off track in terms of how I engage with everyone, and I like to think that’s a real positive.”
Lewis made a bold claim about the team that has a habit of celebrating with a lot of pomp and excitement and the team that has broken new milestones this year through the continued dominance of Max Verstappen.
