A woman threatened legal action against Wood after he allegedly showed up at her house with a shovel in hand. It was revealed that Christian Wood showed up at the house of a lady he did not know and demanded she hand over his child to him. Wood has been in a dispute with the mother of his child for quite some time now and these disputes do not allow him to spend time with his child. The lady was a friend of his ex-girlfriend and was babysitting the child for some time. Wood somehow got the information about it and showed up at her house with a shovel.
However, he was a bit late as his child and the mother of his child had already left. The lady tried to convince Wood of the same, but he was not ready to accept it and remained adamant about his request to see his child. This situation escalated into a big argument where both parties threatened each other with legal action. The lady in question shared the video of Wood showing up at her house and the screenshots of the messages between them on social media, which went viral.
Christian Wood got dumped after being undrafted
On the court, Christian Wood is a very fun person who doesn’t face much difficulty playing his basketball. He has a lot of fun and even had a unique celebration moment with Lakers ace LeBron James. However, the same cannot be said about his personal life.
Wood has seen a lot of downfalls and did not have the greatest luck when it came to his relationships. He went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft which broke him from the core.
Even his girlfriend at the time left him after he went undrafted. Wood was very confident in his abilities and was sure that he would get drafted in the draft. He invited his family and friends to the draft to witness a big moment in his life. However, things did not go as he had hoped for, and it tore him apart.
“I lost my girlfriend that night. I dropped her off at the airport and never saw her again,” said Wood about that night.
This incident may have broken his heart, but it was not enough to make him give up on his dream. Wood worked even harder and made it to the league. Now the 28-year-old has played for seven teams in the NBA in his entire career and is currently playing alongside LeBron James at the Los Angeles Lakers.
