CM Punk is currently recovering from a torn tricep injury that he suffered during the Royal Rumble event in January. There was a storyline in development for Punk making it to WrestleMania 40 and facing Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, but that plan was abandoned due to his injury.
‘The Second City Saint’ shared a story recently on his official social media, where he told the fans that he is working on ‘something cool’ with Randy Orton and that the fans will love it. The promising treat is scheduled to appear during the WrestleMania 40 event in April.
CM Punk and Randy Orton have a surprise for the fans
CM Punk’s last match saw him going toe-to-toe against ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes at the Royal Rumble match. After a grueling fight, Punk succumbed to Cody’s skills and was eliminated from the match, making Rhodes the winner and providing him the right to the main event of WrestleMania 40.
A little while back, Punk shared a story on Instagram where he wrote that he was working on something with ‘The Apex Predator’ Randy Orton, who is set to fight Logan Paul, and he assured the fans that they would love this work.
‘The Best in the World’ said on an Instagram story, “Also filmed something really fun with @randyorton last night that fans will love”. According to reports, the possible thing they are working on is a film, and no other details are currently available right now.
CM Punk is set to attend the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, for the upcoming segment of Monday Night RAW on March 25. Some fans are speculating that the 45-year-old star might hint at his upcoming work with Orton on this week’s RAW.
Roman Reigns threw jabs at CM Punk
Roman Reigns and CM Punk share common ground through Paul Heyman. Roman is the current Undisputed WWE Universal Championship holder, and a few years ago, both superstars clashed during the ‘Shield’ era. ‘The Big Dog’ has a clear dislike for the 2-times World Champion and he has made it understandable multiple times.
During a session with Pat McAfee at ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ Reigns said, “So I’m not one of them people, once I got there, it wasn’t what I… I’m not like CM Punk where I got to the top of the mountain and it’s like, ‘It’s not what I expect, so, I’ma bi*ch’ about it, no.”
WWE Universe is highly anticipating ‘The Grandest Stage of them All’ this April, where Roman Reigns & The Rock will team up to fight Seth Rollins & Cody Rhodes. CM Punk will likely make a brief appearance to address the fans, as he is still yet to fully recover. A number of exciting matches are scheduled for WM 40 and WWE fans are eagerly waiting as the event inches closer.
