Cody Rhodes discloses one thing he misses after his switch to WWE from AEW, claiming he was “tailor-made” for the $7 billion organization

Cody Rhodes has been a huge main-event attraction ever since he returned to WWE last year. He was a former Executive Vice President and a performer for AEW, which he founded alongside Tony Khan and The Young Bucks. Despite finding success in WWE in his second stint, Rhodes has revealed that he does miss one thing from his time in AEW.

Within 18 months of his return, Cody Rhodes managed to win Royal Rumble 2023, headline WrestleMania, and compete against other top stars of the company such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar, whom he holds two victories over. This is certainly much different from Cody Rhodes’ original stint in the company. It should also be mentioned that The American Nightmare became the top merchandise seller of the company and has a theme song that is widely popular among fans.

Cody Rhodes discloses one thing he misses from his time at AEW

In the latest episode of WWE: After the Bell, Cody Rhodes talked to Kevin Patrick and WWE commentator Corey Graves. And in the podcast, The American Nightmare revealed that ever since his switch to WWE last year, he missed one thing from his time in AEW. According to Rhodes, when he was in AEW, Tony Khan provided him with a personal space that he used as an office.

Rhodes said in the podcast, “I think the only thing I miss, and I have said this before, is I had an office. In every building I had an office and in that office was some of the most fun. No business was being done. Maybe 5% business, and probably Brandi was the one who was doing in the business. The other 95% of it was me and my buddies, me and new buddies, new people coming in hiding people in there every week.” He said that office space was mostly used for fun gatherings with his friends and no serious work was being done in the office.

Cody talked about how although he was content with what he has in WWE now, he still misses having an office space where he could hang out with friends and have a fun time. Apparently, he used to have that office space for every event he was in. He further said how his wife was the only one using the space for work, and for the majority of the time it was him and his friends hanging out.

Cody Rhodes believes he is tailor-made for WWE

In the podcast, Cody Rhodes also talks about how he believes that he and WWE are “tailor-made” for each other. The American Nightmare was immensely popular in his second stint with the company when he made his return last year and has been established as one of the top stars of the company.

Rhodes goes on to talk about how his “control-freak” nature made him the perfect fit for the Stamford-based promotion. “The things that I appreciate for WWE is we’re almost like tailor-made for each other in the sense that I am a control freak,” Rhodes explained. “I really wanna have a say in what my merch will look like. I also want to see how well that’s doing in every single market, not just a general conversation every week, every single market, not unlike I watched Cena do.”

Towards the end, Cody Rhodes said that he’s now mature enough to introduce himself to various people on the production staff, something which he was unable to do during his first run in the company. Surely, Rhodes has come a long way since his “Stardust” character, something which pretty much every WWE fan wants to forget. Presently, he is a huge star of the company and is fresh off a victory over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, which concluded their several-month-long rivalry.
