“Completely Broken”: Eddie Hearn candidly opens up about Gib’s disappointing loss to Jake Paul amid Slim fight rumors

Jake Paul’s MVP is eyeing Gib vs Slim in June

Since his loss to Jake Paul in 2020, Gib has been on the rise. He faced Paul at 191 lbs, putting the 5’8″ Gib at a significant disadvantage. In his subsequent bout against Tayler Holder, he secured victory via unanimous decision in the 5-round exhibition match.

Jake Paul founded the Most Valuable Promotions with former UFC executive Nakisa Bidarian and it promotes all of Paul’s fights. They are eyeing a fight between Gib and Slim Albaher, a fellow YouTuber based in the USA. Slim has an undefeated record in boxing with 6 wins. Jake Paul and MVP via X, formerly Twitter, announced their plans for the event.

Paul last fought Nate Diaz and won via decision in the 10-round fight. The fight was Diaz’s debut in the boxing ring after a long stint in the UFC. He will be facing Andre August in December which will be Paul’s first headlining bout that is not a PPV.
