True to his promise, McGregor announced that he will be facing Michael Chandler in the main event of the PPV during the 2024 International Fight Week.
McGregor’s previous appearance in the octagon was against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. His comeback is scheduled for June 29, 2024, marking nearly three years since his last presence in the octagon.
