Conor McGregor will be making his much-awaited UFC comeback against “Iron” Michael Chander in the main event of UFC 303, the International Fight Week PPV. John Kavanagh, McGregor’s head coach had already predicted how the fight would go against the three-time Bellator lightweight champion.
Now, McGregor has sent a stern message to his opponent with an Instagram video post that showed the Irishman working on the heavy bag with his left leg. For context, the left leg was the one that broke his in his trilogy fight with Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier. In the video, McGregor was seen hitting the bag with full power with the leg which has titanium plates inserted in it.
McGregor was a great kicker during his run to become the first simultaneous two-division champion in the UFC. However, after his boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., the Irishman’s fighting style became more boxing-centric, and it proved detrimental in his rematch with Dustin Poirier.
Michael Chandler, his upcoming foe, is susceptible to leg kicks and thus has fight fans worried about the former UFC title challenger’s prospects against the “Notorious” Conor McGregor.

Another fan was relieved that McGregor kicked the bag with full power, 3 years after the brutal leg break.
Well it’s been 3 years… I’d hope he’d be fine kicking with it.

A fan was happy to see McGregor going to his kicking game which was instrumental for his success in the UFC.
The old Conor used to kick a lot. I hope he goes back to that karate stance with kicking to the body, legs and head of his opponents. In his recent fights he’s fallen in love with just boxing. We seen him with more kicks in the third DP fight but then he snapped his leg…

Interestingly, a fan predicted what would transpire if McGregor knocked out Chandler like Leon Edwards did to Kamaru Usman at UFC 278.
If he pulls a Leon with the head kick the Terminator Conor memes are going to be wild

Surprisingly, a fan seemed wary of it as he wanted McGregor to stick to a boxing style after the leg break.
Id rather him just stick to the 257 style after a break like that. Mix in kicks sure. But keep boxing your main focus

A fan predicted a full kicking centric fight against Chandler at UFC 303, for McGregor.
I am telling you he will be the only one that wont be gun shy kicking with it when he returns, he will go full manic kicking with it

Interestingly, a fan pondered whether the titanium plates would give McGregor an advantage or disadvantage.
If he had a steel plate put in or something, could he still fight? I mean, would that give him an advantage and would it be legal?

As for Michael Chandler, he plans to fight for the lightweight title, held by Islam Makhachev who he predicted would have a long reign. In addition to Chandler, Beneil Dariush also has the same sentiment as evidenced by his prediction of Makhachev vs. Poirier. Nevertheless, McGregor could insert himself into the title picture, if victorious against Chandler.
