The Dallas Cowboys’ star quarterback Dak Prescott’s athletic prowess has earned him admiration from teammates, coaches, and even team owner Jerry Jones. Hence, teammate Micah Parsons publicly supported Prescott in front of the Cowboys’ greatest hater, Stephen A Smith, despite falling short of the Super Bowl last season.

Nevertheless, after pinning all hope on the quarterback, Jerry Jones recently made a bold claim regarding Prescott, which soon garnered a pile of criticism for him.

The journey to greatness often intertwines with the pursuit of championship glory. While individual accolades shine brightly, it’s the pursuit of a Super Bowl that truly cements a player’s legacy in the annals of history. Jerry Jones understands the weight of legacy and recently boldly asserts that Prescott is destined to etch his name alongside the greats with a Super Bowl victory. 

According to David Moore of Dallas Morning News, Jones firmly believes that Prescott is among the elite quarterbacks who can hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

“I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl. I think Dak is one of them. I’m firm there. He’s one of the ones who can,” Jones confidently stated.

Yet, Prescott’s journey to Super Bowl glory has been fraught with obstacles. With a playoff record of 2-5, he has faced his fair share of disappointments and heartaches on the grandest stage of them all.

Last season, the possibility of championship glory slipped through his fingers once more, as the Cowboys fell short in the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers, led by Jordan Love.

Some may attribute Prescott’s playoff woes to a stroke of misfortune, akin to Patrick Mahomes’ seemingly charmed path to postseason success.

While Jones remains optimistic about Dak Prescott regarding his legacy of winning a Super Bowl, fans can not still join him in believing Prescott. Hence, they stirred up social media, voicing their words against Jones.

Among the dissenting voices, some fans have taken a more humorous approach, suggesting that Jones’ bold statements may have been made in jest or perhaps under the influence of a celebratory smoke. Others have cynically remarked on the consistency of Jones’ encouragement over the years, questioning whether his words hold any true weight or are simply empty promises.

Meanwhile, Jones has already invested a large amount of money in his QB1. Hence, the fans could not resist mocking him by urging him to give more value to the quarterback as he thinks the QB will bring them a ring soon.

Some fans also remain critical, predicting that the Cowboys starter may win a ring but not with the Cowboys or Jones.
