The most highlighted fact of the Madden 24 list would be the absence of Tom Brady, as the NFL GOAT has always been featured in the Madden franchise since Madden 01. Another highlighted matter of this year’s list is the neck-to-neck competition between the Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott and New York Jets Aaron Rodgers.
To be featured in the Madden list is undoubtedly one of the biggest achievements for a football player. Both Rodgers and Prescott are close in their ratings, with the Cowboys quarterback edging out the Jets’ new starter ever so slightly.
Dak Prescott and Aaron Rodgers make the top 10 QB ratings
EA Sports devs disclosed the list of the best quarterbacks in Madden 24. The list included Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Prescot, Justin Herbert, Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, and Tua Tagovailoa. This year marks the third year Mahomes joins the franchise’s prestigious ’99 club.

Dak is tied for the sixth-highest rating with Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers. A-Rod, with a 10-point drop from a 96 overall last year to this year, sits right behind both with the seventh-highest rating. It marks the lowest rating for the 39-year-old veteran after being in the Top 3 in Madden the past two seasons. In Madden 23, Gang Green’s signal-caller was second with a 96 rating while the Dallas star was sixth with an 89 rating.
Prescott edging out Rodgers slightly
In 2022, Prescott recorded a passer rating of 91.1 with 2,860 yards along with 23 touchdowns and 15 interceptions throughout 12 games while Aaron threw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns along with 12 interceptions. The Cowboys QB led the team to the NFC Divisional round before going down to the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers ex-player nearly led the franchise to the playoffs, albeit they fell short on the final week of the season.
However, Craig Carton isn’t happy with the ranking as he voiced his words for placing Dak over the 10-time Pro-Bowler.
“I’m a little concerned about this not gonna lie. Dak Prescott has a higher rating than Aaron Rodgers in Madden Football. Dak is 87 and Aaron is 86, not happy about that. I know it doesn’t mean a damn.”
Pat has overshadowed everyone both on the field and in the virtual world of Madden, albeit anything can happen in the new season. It remains to be seen if Rodgers can bounce back to retain his earlier form and if Prescott can improve his position further.
