Damage CTRL member shares heartbreaking update after Bayley challenges Iyo Sky

Bayley surprised the WWE universe when she revealed that instead of facing Rhea Ripley, she will face Iyo Sky at the WrestleMania 40 event. ‘The Role Model’ even went on to beat the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) with a metal pipe after they tried to attack her on this week’s SmackDown.

Recently, a member of Damage CTRL who has been absent for some time shared her approach to Bayley challenging Iyo Sky. Dakota Kai has been away due to undergoing surgery to repair an ACL injury, and she shared a heartbreaking update on the upcoming match in Pennsylvania.

Damage CTRL member reacts to Bayley’s WM 40 challenge

Bayley formed the Damage CTRL faction back in 2022, with Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai as initial members of the evil faction. Asuka and Kairi Sane joined the group much later in 2023, and since then, they have made their side the most dominating part of the women’s division. After Bayley won this year’s Royal Rumble match, she was scheduled to choose her opponent for the ‘Show of Shows’ on SmackDown.

However, the 34-year-old wrestler shocked fans when she said to Iyo Sky that they would see each other at the WrestleMania event for the WWE Women’s Championship. Dakota Kai, who has been absent from wrestling for some time, has recently posted on Twitter about her reaction to Bayley challenging former faction member Iyo Sky.

Dakota Kai got injured during the May 12th episode of SmackDown, where she teamed up with Bayley to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. During the match, both Kai and Morgan got injured when they jumped from the top rope.

Bayley aims for her 7th WWE title win at WrestleMania 40

Bayley has made it clear that she will stop at nothing to win her 7th WWE title at the WrestleMania 40 event. Even if she has to face her former faction members, she is determined to secure victory regardless of the cost. After clashing with Asuka and Kairi Sane, she pointed her weapon at Iyo Sky but refrained from attacking any further.

At first, Bayley was supposed to face Rhea Ripley but all of that changed when Sky, Asuka, and Sane mocked her saye, ‘how she was finished’ behind her back. During an interview with The Bump, Bayley said some things about Ripley.

She said, “I said I want all these things, that I can beat Rhea. Look, props to Rhea, she’s younger than me, she’s stronger than me, she’s faster than me, she sells more merch than me.”
