It is widely acknowledged that Cristiano Ronaldo had an intense rivalry with Messi during the zenith of their careers at Real Madrid and Barcelona, with both of them sharing numerous Ballon d’Or accolades between them. Since then, football enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting a revival of such a rivalry, and now a moment has emerged as David De Gea has found one.
Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero have joined forces as a team in an eSports tournament. To make the competition even more thrilling, David De Gea, the former Manchester United goalkeeper, has expressed his intention to invite Cristiano Ronaldo to compete against Lionel Messi and Aguero.
David De Gea wants to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to challenge Lionel Messi and Aguero
Established by Aguero in 2020, KRU is already a participant in a variety of popular eSports titles, including Rocket League, FIFA, League of Legends, and Valorant. It has successfully solidified its position as a prominent contender in the eSports industry.
Bearing in mind the good relationship between Lionel Messi and Aguero, both have teamed up again in the ownership of the said eSports venture. Kun Aguero himself has delightfully announced his partnership with his long-term friend.
Following the official announcement of Messi’s association with KRU, De Gea extended an invitation to Ronaldo, encouraging him to invest in Rebels Gaming, a venture owned by the former Manchester United goalkeeper.
Lionel Messi joins Sergio Aguero’s eSports team
Argentinian friends Messi and Aguero have reunited, but this time it’s not within the realm of sports but in the world of eSports.
Established by Aguero in 2020, KRU engages in competitive eSports games, including Rocket League, FIFA, League of Legends, and Valorant.
Over time, the company has pioneered its path to becoming a leader in this field.
In a brief video announcement on Tuesday, the Manchester City icon confirmed that Messi has joined the organization as its new collaborator.
The video concludes with the Inter Miami legend expressing, “Okay, let’s play.”
In response to the arrival of the greatest of all time (GOAT), Aguero shared heartfelt words about his friend:
“I am happy to share a club with Leo, of course, now in a new stage and with other challenges.
“It is an honour that he is part of KRU. He is the best footballer in history and also a great friend.”
Both Lionel Messi and Aguero spent nearly 15 years as teammates on the national squad. During this time, they played pivotal roles in Argentina’s victory in the Copa America in 2021 and their journey to the World Cup final in 2014.
Unfortunately, Aguero had to retire a year before Argentina’s World Cup triumph in 2022 due to his heart condition.
Meanwhile, shortly after Messi’s recent foray into eSports was revealed, De Gea approached Ronaldo, Messi’s long-standing rival, to consider investing in his Rebels Gaming venture.
