Days after fake video emerged of Cristiano Ronaldo waving the Palestine flag, Georgina Rodriguez shares heartfelt world peace message

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most popular people in the world, so it’s no surprise that some people live off of his name. The Portuguese star is the most-followed individual on Instagram, with 607 million followers and growing. With that much popularity, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner sometimes finds it impossible to keep his name out of the press and media.

A fake video of the former Real Madrid man holding and waving a Palestine flag went viral some days ago, with many believing Ronaldo was showing his support for the war-ravaged country. After the video proved to be fake, his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, came out to share a message of peace on her Instagram story.

Some people seized this opportunity to go viral by creating a fake video showing Cristiano Ronaldo waving the Palestine flag. This was quickly taken out of context as Ronaldo was thought to have been on Palestine’s side. However, a video authenticity check was done by the OFI team, revealing the person in the video not to be Cristiano Ronaldo but a Morrocan player Jawal El Yamiq.

Ronaldo, who is ever-present on social media, is on an international break with Portugal, which stunned many people when the video emerged. Ronaldo’s last Instagram post is a sponsored post with Binance, a crypto company that recently revealed much about the former Manchester United in a lie detector test.
