Days after Tom Brady’s cryptic comeback remark, Bill Belichick speaks out on Tom Terrific’s Patriots homecoming

After being drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, the NFL GOAT Tom Brady spent two decades of his career with the franchise and created a new dynasty in the league that is yet to be taken over by any other franchise.

Following his departure from the Patriots and the start of his new journey with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady hinted there may be a chance to return to New England at least once more. Recently, the Pats’ owner Robert Kraft invited the dual-threat back to Gillette Stadium for a special ceremony to honor him. New England’s head coach Bill Belichick delivered his take on the ceremony while raving about his former student.

Belichick breaks silence on Brady’s return to the Patriots

Following Brady‘s departure from the Patriots, rumors speculated about the deteriorated relationship between him and Belichick, albeit Belichick repeatedly denied any hostility with his former quarterback. During a recent appearance on WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show”, the HC once again proved critics wrong by delivering high words about the ex-NFL star while appreciating him for his immense contribution to the New England-based team.

“I’ve spoken to Tom a couple of times. I always look forward to talking to Tom, and what a great experience and opportunity it was for me to coach Tom. I have tremendous appreciation for everything he did for me, did for our team, everything he gave us.”

Tom ended his illustrious career in February this year and he is now busy applying his business acumen by purchasing several sports teams, and Bill thinks the 46-year-old would carry success wherever he goes.

“I look forward to seeing him…. He’s a pretty talented guy. I’m sure he’ll do well in whatever he chooses to do, whatever area that is. So I look forward to seeing him, and I’m sure there will be a lot of excitement at the game, in the stands, as there should be.”

The three-time NFL MVP earned six Super Bowls for the Patriots in two decades with them and the 71-year-old HC said his contribution to turning a below-average team to a legendary team deserves more than just one day of appreciation.

“He’s done an awful lot for this organization, for this franchise, for this city, the National Football League. One night’s really not enough — anywhere close to being enough — for the appreciation for what Tom deserves.”

Bill was also asked whether Tom Terrific deserves a statue at Gillette Stadium and he replied by saying to honor the legend with anything they want. The former Patriots star’s ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 10.

Tom Brady sparks speculation of NFL comeback in cryptic post

Brady recently shared an image of his fit physique in his Instagram story. The California Cool amazed fans by going shirtless while promoting his personal Brady Brand with a twist. The retired footballer once again tricked fans with a potential comeback rumor saying he is in search of a training camp ahead of the new NFL season.

“Side effects of the TB12 Sports protein… mid-August rolls around, and you start thinking about finding a training camp to show up to,” the caption said.

However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion frequently smashed the comeback rumor, and also making a U-turn to the league might not be a great choice for him, especially after passing for 25 touchdowns while recording one-and-done in his last playoffs.

If Brady rethinks a comeback, he will be just the second signal-caller in the NFL to continue playing at this age behind the former legend George Blanda who played till his 48 years. Do you think that he should consider a U-turn? Let us know what you think in the comments.
