Deion Sanders once attacked Skip Bayless over his claims that his then teammate, QB Troy Aikman is allegedly gay

Deion Sanders gained notoriety this season after concluding his remarkable NFL career by bringing in new players and revolutionizing the locker room while positioning the Colorado Buffaloes as the center of the sports world. Meanwhile, in all this, he has found Troy Aikman, his former teammate, to be a big supporter of him since he took over the Buffaloes’ coaching responsibilities.

While the NFL world is only aware of the retired NFL players current relationship, one video from the 1990s revealed the intensity of the bonding that Deion and Aikman once shared on the field.

Deion Sanders once attacked Skip Bayless

Recently, NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared a video that resurfaced on the internet, featuring an interview with Sanders, Bayless, and Pam Oliver. The conversation among the three turned into a heated argument when Deion Sanders attacked Bayless for mentioning Troy Aikman as “gay” in one of his books.

Deions was spotted much infuriated over the matter, as he regarded it as a potential threat to shatter Aikman’s reputation.

“Where do you get off saying one of my teammate is a homosexual? Where are your facs? Do you know how detrimental that is to a guy like Troy?”

According to Bayless, statements made by athletes support every claim in his book. Hence, the sunglass lover coach claimed on the video that his former teammate was attractive enough to attract any lady he desired and did not have to become gay.

Deion “I’m not gay, but Troy is a good looking guy. I’m sure he can get any woman he wants.”

Deion fearlessly confronted Skip for presenting false information in his book as fact, and Pam supported him in criticizing Skip for the same. After this, the Buffaloes’ coach and Pam, Bayless, faced further backlash from netizens when the video went viral. Fans criticized them for bringing someone’s personal matters into the media.

Before the Buffaloes’ game against the TCU Horned Frogs in September, Sanders and Aikman came together during ESPN’s College GameDay. Like Sanders, Troy has a deep affection for his former Cowboys teammate, which he expressed through a touching caption for a photo of the two of them.

“Sat down with my friend & former teammate Deion Sanders ahead of his debut game as head coach for the University of Colorado. From football great to inspiring coach, our bond runs deep. Can’t wait for everyone to watch our candid chat tomorrow on ESPN’s GameDay. Always rooting for you, Prime Time! #teammate4life,” the caption read, per Sportskeeda.

Coach Prime remained quick to respond to his friend’s recognition, replying,””Love ya my brother!!!”.

Even with the Buffaloes’ recent string of defeats, Aikman consistently stood behind Prime Coach, just like he did throughout their NFL careers? How do you feel about the bond between the two?
