Deion Sanders silences critics as QB Shedeur Sanders and WR Travis Hunter thrive in Colorado’s victory against TCU

The Colorado Buffaloes appear to have positioned themselves as the underdog of the conference after being rated the weakest team in college football in their weekly poll of programs the previous season. However, after taking the responsibility of coaching the team, Deion Sanders totally rejuvenated the team which led them to grasp superpowers like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

The team’s two pillar players from Sanders’ transfer congregation, Sanders and Hunter, came through as heroes in the team’s opening game against TCU, leading the Buffaloes to an incredible triumph.

Travis Hunter and Sanders played with a tremendous deal of confidence in the pocket during the game, which represented a great comeback for the Buffaloes. They both looked great all afternoon. Following the break, the team’s 21-year-old player received excellent praise from the head coach Deion Sanders.

“He is him. He gets those two deep balls, the Heisman is at his crib chilling right now.”

Shedeur also goes by the name Deions, which is why Deion’s decision to start his son at quarterback was questioned before the start of the season. So, following his sons’ outstanding performance, he made sure to address his critics while still giving him high marks.

“We had some guys that singled themselves out with their playing and their playing ability. A lot of guys you doubted — one of them from an HBCU — I think he had 510 yards passing in a Power 5 football game. And he happens to be my son, and I’m proud of him, tremendously,” the coach said.

After playing for Jackson State as freshmen under the direction of coach Deion, both Hunter and Sanders transferred to Colorado. This allowed the coach to maintain a high level of ambition, and in their first significant match, both were able to live up to their coaches’ expectations.

Colorado Buffaloes beat TCU

The CU Buffs defeated TCU Saturday in their first game of the year 45-42 in an unexpected victory that featured a thrilling fourth quarter, ending years of Colorado’s losing streak in a single contest.

In that game, Travis Hunter was outstanding at cornerback and wideout. He caught 11 catches for 119 yards on offense, while he also intercepted a key TCU pass in the end zone and recorded two additional passes on defense. Additionally, Jackson State star player amassed 100 receiving yards, making him the only player in Division I to do so in the previous 20 seasons.

Shedeur Sanders completed 38 of his 47 throws for 510 yards. In the previous 25 years, no player had ever had more passing yards in his FBS debut. As a result, he broke the 500-yard barrier for the first time ever as a quarterback in Colorado.

“We told them we’re coming. You thought we were joking, but guess what? We keep receipts.”

Deions’ reign appears to have just begun, and with the help of Travis Hunter and Sheduer, the Colorado Buffaloes will likely win a significant championship shortly.
