Kai Jones has had his own share of tough and difficult times in his professional career. Nothing seems more painful than seeing your teammates unfollow you on social media channels. This has been the experience of the Charlotte Hornets star in recent weeks following his live Instagram video that went viral online which made fans and enthusiasts believe he was influenced by narcotic substance.
Kai recently criticized his teammates and called himself the best in the Hornets team. Now he has caused a deeper stir claiming to have ‘infinity money’, and fans can’t help speculating exactly how much he earns.
Kai Jones releases new song
Following his controversial video where he is seen behaving like someone under the influence of narcotics made rounds on the internet, Kai Jones has yet again made the headlines. And this time, it comes with the release of his new song.
The song lyrics were all about “I got infinity money”. He goes on to sing “Who are they to pair with me”, “men am felling free”.
This looks like a direct response to his Charlotte Hornets teammates who chose to unfollow him on social media.
Despite saying “I got infinity money” in his new song, the NBA player’s career earnings are in fact not as much. He has made a cash total of $2,770,560 in the 2021/2022 NBA season and $2,909,040 in 2022/2023, bringing his total estimated income in two seasons to $5,679,600. Although his income could be too much for him to spend considering his age, it surely isn’t ‘infinity money’.
Hornets forward causing stir with recent social media activity
Kai Jones decides to make some bold statements on X and post some strange videos on Instagram Live, just when you thought the Charlotte Hornets might have a relatively quiet offseason for once. Kai Jones, the Hornets forward, has found himself in the midst of a social media storm recently after he posted a bizarre video on social media. In the video, Kai is seen dancing wearing white shorts and a red t-shirt, and without any footwear.
Kia dancing in that manner had several fans reacting to it, questioning his work ethic as a professional.
One fan called out the Hornets to do something with a replied tweet saying, “Hornets gotta do something about Kai Jones..”
Another fan posted an image of someone counting money with the caption, “His dealer every week”, insinuating that the player might be taking narcotics every week.
The responses keep coming, this time an angry fan posted and asked the Hornets to trade Kia, in a tweet that said, “Gotta trade this guy. I seee everything but clips in the gym”
The list seems to have a lot of fans coming to say one thing or more. It seems this young NBA star does not really care about what people will say about him, nor care about his career. Only time will tell if his recent behavior has anything to do with narcotics.
