It is not uncommon to see professional wrestlers making transitions into Hollywood. Many WWE superstars, including John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and Bautista, have successfully ventured into acting.
Kurt Angle is another wrestler who has explored opportunities in the film industry. Despite limited success thus far, he remains persistent and has even contacted Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressing his interest in collaborating with them.
Kurt Angle opened up about contacting Kevin Feige
In April of last year, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle revealed that he had a conversation with Kevin Feige about appearing in a future MCU project. Although Angle hasn’t acted in a movie since 2015, he has an impressive resume, having appeared in films such as “Pain & Gain,” “Warrior,” and “Sharknado 2: The Second One.”
In 2021, Angle revealed that he and his wife were watching all of the Marvel movies in chronological order, which inspired him to express his desire to appear in one of them. The WWE Hall of Famer made a humorous remark that he would send milk to a Marvel Studios agent to secure a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, this humorous comment may have presented Angle with the opportunity to land a role in an upcoming Marvel movie.
In the episode of “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast uploaded on April 23, 2023, Angle revealed that he had reached out to Kevin Feige expressing his interest in being a part of a Marvel movie. Feige did respond to Angle’s request, but unfortunately, nothing materialized from their initial interaction.
“I did get a — who’s the Executive Producer for the Marvel movies? Oh gosh. Why can’t I — Yeah, Kevin Feige. I ended up getting his contact information and I reached out to him and told him I’d be interested in doing a Marvel movie and he actually responded to me but nothing ever came of it,” said Kurt Angle.

Three years ago, the wrestling community found out that Angle has a link to a famous actor from the MCU. This interesting piece of trivia has left fans amazed. The wrestling community has already started imagining these two stars collaborating on the big screen someday.
Jon Bernthal, famous for his work in The Walking Dead and his entertaining podcast Real Ones, gained mainstream fame when he played the superhero Punisher in the MCU series Daredevil. Fans loved his acting ability and the way he portrayed a polarizing character. His outstanding performance led to the development of the series The Punisher in 2017, which had two seasons until it was canceled in 2019.
Despite this, fans still remember Bernthal for his remarkable role as The Punisher. Recently, it was revealed that Bernthal had a significant bond with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, surprising both wrestling and movie fans.
Bernthal is married to Erin Angle, who happens to be the niece of Kurt Angle. This makes Angle Bernthal’s uncle-in-law. The legendary wrestler even shared a picture with Bernthal and his niece Erin on Twitter.
