Despite heated rivalry, Nate Diaz hails “weird little f***er” Conor McGregor while assessing Khabib Nurmagomedov, Daniel Cormier: “Not real fighters”

As the highly anticipated matchup between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul is set to take place tonight at the Dallas American Airlines Center, the event has been marred by a substantial amount of chaos and controversy.

Being a former UFC fighter, Nate was asked about some of his peers and legends of the sport at one point. While the Stockton native lavished surprising praise on a former rival, he wasn’t so kind about some other legends of the sport.

Nate Diaz stamps approval on Conor McGregor being best sh*t talker ever

Diaz acknowledged Conor McGregor as one of the most captivating fighters in UFC history during his appearance on the Full Send Podcast. In the interview, the welterweight fighter openly praised the Irish fighter’s trash-talking abilities to hype up an event.

Diaz’s MMA career is currently on hold since his UFC contract expired last year. However, the 38-year-old fighter intends to return to the octagon after his boxing match against The Problem Child. Nate hopes to secure victory in the boxing ring before resuming his mixed martial arts journey in the UFC or other promotions.

The Stockton native holds a 1-1 record against the Irishman and with the former two-division UFC champion eyeing a comeback, Diaz is eager for a potential third encounter with Mystic Mac.

Diaz unimpressed by Khabib Nurmagomedov, DC

Nate Diaz didn’t hold back in expressing his criticisms towards lightweight superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov, just as he openly praised Mystic Mac. The rivalry between Khabib and Conor has been highly intense. However, Dana White revealed Diaz declined the opportunity to fight The Eagle when it was presented to him.

“Fuck Khabib. That was funny. Fuck him. Khabib is the worst. Look at him, he ran off, he’s a jock. It’s not my style of fighting, I don’t like it. Yeah, [wrestling] is cool, if that’s how you fight. Just the style of fighter in general, he’s not a real fighter.” Nate said.

The former UFC fighter didn’t mince words when it came to expressing his disdain not just for the Russian but also for former two-division champ Daniel Cormier. The Stockton native made it clear that his aversion towards them stems from their fighting styles in the octagon, which he doesn’t particularly admire.

“Him, D.C., certain guys, I’m just not interested in that kind of fighting at all. It’s not wrestling, I love wrestling. It’s just the wrestling, jock-y attitude. I’m a real fighter; I like real fighters.” Diaz added.
