Despite inching closer to 3rd F1 championship, Max Verstappen dampens the mood with rebranding suggestion after Japanese GP

Max Verstappen might be an outstanding driver on the ground, but in other things apart from driving, the sportsman is often labelled as being “dull.” Not too long ago, in a fun activity given by one of the reporters, the drivers of the Red Bull had to say “Hey Barbie” as it was trending throughout the world. Instead of simply following Sergio Perez, Max proceeded to say” Hey Margot” which was the original name of the character who was portrayed as Barbie in the movie.

The entire scenario got thousands of views on the Internet, eventually calling the two-time World Champion boring. Verstappen has maintained to do a similar thing recently and dampened everyone’s mood when he suggested rebranding after the Japanese GP.

Verstappen makes his feelings crystal clear regarding post-race podcast

The entire scenario got thousands of views on the Internet, eventually calling the two-time World Champion boring. Verstappen has maintained to do a similar thing recently and dampened everyone’s mood when he suggested rebranding after the Japanese GP.

At the British GP, the cool-down room was photoshopped as a room of podcasts, which emerged on social media and featured Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Lewis Hamilton, wearing headsets, chatting in the cool-down room after the race.

At that point of the season, Max Verstappen was on his 10th consecutive win and 12th podium, so the cool-down room was renamed the Max Verstappen Post-Race Podcast

While some drivers have made more regular appearances on the “podcast”, such as Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez, more recently we’ve seen some new guests, such as Esteban Ocon, George Russell, Pierre Gasly, and now our newest invitee, Oscar Piastri.

In the Japanese GP post-race press conference, Max was asked how much he enjoyed hosting other drivers on his podcast but revealed he’d like a rebrand.

He said, “Yeah, I don’t even know who came up with that because I don’t even like podcasts, they make me fall asleep. So I don’t know. Maybe we can call it something different. Or come up with something a bit more fun.”

Oscar interjected, “Yeah, I don’t know, I was just happy to be a guest.”

Fans accuse Red Bull driver of dull humour

Fans were utterly disappointed at Max’s humour after the incident, calling him various names on the internet. Some have also pointed this out, blaming his nationality for being boring as Europe is profusely famous for its bland food among all the other continents.
