Despite the loss at NXT Deadline, Judgement Day member and WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley had a few conversations with Dominik on social media later in the day, sharing some encouraging words.
Rhea Ripley shares encouraging message to Dominik Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio became the NXT North American Champion on the July 18th episode of NXT by defeating Wes Lee, who had the longest reign in the title’s history. He achieved this victory with the assistance of his Judgment Day stablemates, Ripley, Finn Bálor, and Damian Priest, along with their accomplice, JD McDonagh.
He defended his title against Trick Williams at No Mercy, and regained it from him on NXT three days later. However, at NXT Deadline, Dominik Mysterio was scheduled to face Wes Lee, but due to an injury Wes Lee was removed from the match. Rey Mysterio announced that Dragon Lee will face Dominik for the North American title.
The match between Dominik and Lee was a fast-paced and hard-hitting affair, with both men showcasing their skills and determination. Rey Mysterio was present ringside, supporting Lee. Ultimately, Lee defeated Dominik to become the new NXT North American Champion.
