The Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, who has a history of on-court issues with other players, has yet again exhibited his never-ending on-court antics. During the recent matchup between the Cavaliers and the Warriors, things got heated up between Green and Mitchell Donovan.
The altercation that led to Green’s second technical foul and subsequent ejection raised significant concerns for Mitchell’s mother. Despite Mitchell remaining in the game after the incident and securing the Cavaliers’ victory, Nicole, Mitchell’s mother, expressed worry.
She left him five missed calls, expressing her disapproval of seeing her son involved in altercations. Nicole desires to discuss the recent fracas with Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green with her son.
Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com expressed, “By the time Cavs star guard Donovan Mitchell got out of the shower and went back to his locker inside the Chase Center, he already had five missed calls,” Which were all from his mother.
Mitchell clarifies Draymond altercation
Draymond Green and Donovan Mitchell’s moment of fracas added more tension to the already tense matchup between the Warriors and the Cleveland. According to a post on X by The Score, Mitchell said, “He pushed me, so I pushed him back. Simple tit for tat, nothing outside of that. I just knew they had to look at that previous play. Gotta know the rulebook a little bit.”
During the review of the incident by the officials on Saturday, they gave attention to the preceding plays that led up to the incident, in which they discovered that Green had bumped Mitchell from behind in transition, which was an uncalled foul and led to retaliation from Mitchell.
Even with only 18 minutes on the court, Draymond Green managed to average just 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. On the other hand, Mitchell, likely benefiting from Green’s ejection, had a decent output of 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
