According to him, “Draymond Green is expected to return Monday vs. Grizzlies after a 16-game absence.”
Green’s comeback would be a huge defensive boost to the Dubs who have shown signs of defensive weakness in the past few games. His presence will also give a morale boost to the team and would help out their ace Stephen Curry who might be questionable to participate in future matches. Why was Draymond Green suspended 16 games?
The Warriors’ star, Draymond Green, was suspended indefinitely following an altercation with the Suns’ star, Jusuf Nurkic. Green struck Nurkic during a game and received the indefinite suspension for reflection on his actions. The suspension concluded after 16 games when NBA Commissioner Adam Silver talked with Green.
Following the removal of the suspension, a report stated that Jusuf Nurkic was going to press charges against Green and this news did not sit right with the NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal. This was not the first time Draymond Green was suspended this season.
Earlier, he faced a suspension a few months ago for putting the Minnesota Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during a team brawl between the Warriors and the Wolves.
