Drew McIntyre sends four-word warning to CM Punk following heated backstage interaction on WWE Raw

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk signed up to become a member of the Red brand. However, he seemed to have made an enemy in Drew McIntyre, who confronted him in a backstage segment. As they faced each other, the Scottish Warrior made it clear that Raw was his show.

Later, by retweeting a clip of that segment on his Twitter account, McIntyre openly targeted The Second City Saint and warned him in a subtle way.

Drew McIntyre warns CM Punk

Drew McIntyre has taken a dig at CM Punk after their altercation on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. On that episode, Punk signed an exclusive deal with Raw, engaged in a verbal exchange with Seth Rollins, and confirmed his participation in the Royal Rumble.

Later, he approached Adam Pearce and Drew McIntyre backstage, where the latter made it clear that he was only focused on his own story and not interested in Punk’s or Cody Rhodes’. McIntyre then left, and the General Manager of Raw informed Punk that McIntyre would challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship on the January 1st episode of Raw.

Earlier today, Drew McIntyre went on X to taunt The Second City Saint, which has fueled rumors of a future match between the two veterans. “See you around, punk,” McIntyre wrote, along with a clip of that Raw backstage segment.

At the moment, there has been no response from Punk following the taunts. Although McIntyre and Punk have teamed up a few times in the past and have worked on some battle royals together, they have never faced each other in a singles match.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk feud explained

The WWE universe is still buzzing about CM Punk’s shocking return to WWE after being away for nine years. While many fans were thrilled to see him back, not all of the wrestlers shared the same sentiment. Seth Rollins, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, was caught on video expressing his anger towards Punk’s comeback after the Survivor Series WarGames 2023.

Now, former WWE Universal Champion Drew McIntyre has also taken some indirect shots at Punk. During the December 5 episode of Monday Night Raw, McIntyre hinted at Punk’s return and criticized how easily wrestlers are forgiven by the company. While addressing the topic, the crowd began chanting “CM Punk,” but McIntyre suggested that the message was for someone else.

However, McIntyre expressed his frustration at not being featured on the poster for the upcoming pay-per-view event, Royal Rumble 2024. McIntyre’s absence from the poster was glaring, and he vented his frustration on social media. McIntyre is quite jealous over the fact that someone who was not in the company for almost a decade is taking the limelight he deserves.

For now, it’s hard to say what WWE has planned for Punk’s future with the company, but we’re all eagerly waiting to see what happens next. Meanwhile, McIntyre is currently involved in a feud with Jey Uso. It will be quite interesting to see them squaring off against each other.
