Drew McIntyre takes sly dig at ‘old timer’ LA Knight ahead of Elimination Chamber

Drew McIntyre and LA Knight are two of the most popular wrestlers on the WWE roster today. Interestingly, both of them left WWE at one point, only to come back stronger than ever. What many people don’t know is that they were part of the same stable called “Rising” in TNA (formerly known as IMPACT) wrestling back in 2015. However, their relationship turned sour, and they eventually became enemies.

Now, they are set to face each other in the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber, and they have been taunting each other, eager to settle the score in the ring.

Drew McIntyre roasts LA Knight

The intimidating behavior of Drew McIntyre, which started at the beginning of 2024, has made him one of the most popular WWE superstars today. Currently, he is very sensitive to any offensive comments, and recently he responded to LA Knight’s remark.

During tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre was being interviewed backstage by WWE interviewer Kayla Braxton about the upcoming Elimination Chamber match, for which he had already qualified. However, McIntyre was interrupted by another wrestler who had also qualified for the chamber match on Monday Night RAW, the Megastar LA Knight.

During the interruption, LA Knight accused Drew McIntyre of blaming others for his shortcomings and referred to him as an old-timer who has not achieved anything meaningful since Knight arrived in WWE four years ago.

Later, Drew posted a collage of himself and LA Knight on his social media account, in response to LA Knight’s comment about him being an “old-timer” on SmackDown.

“Old timer” 😂😂😂 #Smackdown,” wrote Drew McIntyre.

Drew pointed out that he is three years younger than LA Knight, which seems to have been his way of getting back at his opponent for the comment.
