Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson acknowledges his viral SmackDown return meme

Dwayne Johnson made his long-awaited return to WWE last month on the September 15 edition of Friday Night SmackDown. The crowd instantly went into a frenzy when his music hit, which ended up receiving the loudest pop of the night. He came out to the ring during a segment with Pat McAfee and Austin Theory, where he insulted the former US Champ with a famous catchphrase, and even delivered a People’s Elbow to him for good measure.

This segment quickly became a viral hit, with one particular part of The Rock’s interaction with Austin Theory gaining more attention. It was the moment when The Brahma Bull told the 26-year-old superstar to shut up, where he said “Shut your b**** a** up”, which generated another loud pop.

Fans on social media have been using this clip to create several memes, some of which caught the WWE Legend’s eye. He even retweeted one of the memes, acknowledging the Internet’s undefeated status.

“Internet undefeated 👏🏾😂”, said The Rock while retweeting a fan’s meme on X.

What is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s most popular catchphrase?

Prior to having a successful career in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson was once one of WWE’s top superstars. He is mostly remembered for his time playing the heel persona of ‘The Rock’, who later went on to become The People’s Champ as fans began to adore his cocky and hilarious character.

To say that The Rock has been great on the mic would definitely be an understatement. The Great One has always been one of the greatest at trash-talking on the mic. Throughout his illustrious career, he not only gave the fans some of the most memorable moments in WWE, but also some of the greatest catchphrases, that are wildly popular to this day.

While most of his lines are used as memes, the one catchphrase that has been associated with The Brahma Bull for all these years is – “Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?”. From thereon, the world knew him as the pie-eating, eyebrow-raising, jabroni-beating, and several other names. To this day, even his fans use this famous catchphrase whenever they talk about Dwayne Johnson.

We eagerly await Dwayne Johnson’s next appearance in WWE, and certainly hope that he doesn’t go on another hiatus without performing at least one last match. He has been open to facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for a long time, which would make for a blockbuster match, should it happen next year. Stay tuned for further updates on The Rock and WWE.
