The New Year Celebrations for the WWE Fans have hit the roofs, as the Brahma Bull of WWE, The Rock returned to WWE on today’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The Rock hit Jinder Mahal with an electrifying People’s elbow and also teased a feud with the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.

After the segment with Mahal on Day 1 RAW episode, Rock was involved in a backstage interview, where the people’s Champion was spotted holding a WWE title on his shoulder.

After today’s Monday Night RAW episode, The Rock was spotted in a conversation with WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley. He had the WWE Women’s Championship title casually draped over his shoulder. Cathy Kelley shared the photo on Twitter, accompanied by the caption, “chilllllll 2024 we only just got started.”

Additionally, she posted the same photo on her official Instagram account with the caption, “not sure how the rest of 2024 is going to be able to top Day 1, but I’ve got a really good feeling about this year.”

After the segment, Rhea Ripley came and took over her title from the Rock. Before appearing in the backstage, Ripley had defended her Championship in a singles match against Ivy Nile. The Rock is a 8 time WWE Champion and 2 time WCW Champion. The image from backstage created a speculation among the fans that the WWE is planning the People’s Champion to have one more title reign in 2024.

Potential event for clash between the Rock and Roman Reigns

As per recent reports, WWE is planning a match for Roman Reigns to defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against The Rock, at the Elimination Chamber pay per view on February 24, 2024. WWE announced that the event will be held in Perth, Australia.

Another report claims that Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes in Wrestlemania 40 for the second time in a row. They both met last year and Reigns defeated Rhodes to retain the Championship.

The Rock had his last official match in WWE back in 2016 at Wrestlemania 32 against Eric Rowan. This match holds a record for the shortest match in WWE history, as The Rock secured victory in just six seconds with a Rock Bottom. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns has been on a dominant streak.

The Tribal Chief defeated all his opponents over the last three years, asserting his control over the WWE roster. The Rock’s recent return showcased that he still possesses the charisma and passion for wrestling.
