Eddie expresses confidence that the outcome of this fight will determine the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion of this generation. In his statement, Hearn reveals his support to the British fighter and provides reasons for his choice.
Recently, the bout postponement was announced for Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk, which was about to take place on February 17th but was later changed to May 18th. Recently, Eddie Hearn chose Tyson Fury over Usyk while explaining, “I respect him as a fighter. He’s a Brit; I want him to win.”
He said it would be the greatest fight in Fury’s career. Fury as well as Eddie Hearn claimed this fight is important because it will declare who is the greatest heavyweight boxer of this generation.
Hearn claimed, “I want Tyson Fury, a British fighter, to win that fight and go down as a real great. And I’m pleased that he’s taking that fight because, as I’ve said in interviews before, it was frustrating because that is the fight that will make him great.”

According to Ring News 24, chairman of Matchroom Sport also stated, “I also want AJ to beat [Francis] Ngannou and try and make AJ against Fury.” Eddie is currently working on the March 8 event, featuring the former UFC champion against the former WBA champion, both renowned as knockout artists in combat sports.
