Edge addresses his AEW move

After a grand departure from WWE, Hall of Famer Edge has now found his new home in All Elite Wrestling aka AEW. The R-rated superstar made his debut in AEW during the climax of WrestleDream Pay-Per-View.

Many fans were concerned as he didn’t share any information regarding joining AEW and they were surprised to see him at WrestleDream. Addressing that Edge shared some heartfelt lengthy posts on X/Twitter. There were a total of four posts and each one answered a different question.

“From The Desk of… As some of you may know, I’m no longer with WWE. My new home is AEW. I’m excited. Whole new roster. Some familiar faces that I wanted to work with again and a whole set of first-ever matches. New challenges, and if you’ve followed my career, you know that’s what I’ve always been driven by.” Edge wrote on the first tweet.

In his second tweet, he expressed his gratitude to WWE for giving him the life that he has today. Edge wrote, “But first and foremost I want to address my 25 years with WWE. I love WWE and appreciate everything the company did for me. Always have, always will. They put me on the map, gave me amazing opportunities, and through hard work on both ends, I’ve been supplied with a wonderful life. Hell, WWE helped me meet the woman I’d start my family with.”

In his third tweet, he suggested the fans enjoy the sport rather than get into a collision between the choice about which promotion is better. In his last tweet, The Hall of Famer told his fans that he will be busting in the ring of AEW and will be giving his best as always.

Adam Copeland’s first AEW opponent announced

Former WWE superstar Edge arrived in AEW Sunday night at WrestleDream. Soon enough fans will get to see him in the AEW ring as Adam Copeland. Christian Cage one of Copeland’s acquiantance was defending his TNT Championship against Darby Allin in Allin’s hometown of Seattle.

At the start of the match, Darby Allin and Christian Cage engaged in a fierce punching exchange. Later on, Allin found himself outside the ring after being slammed into the steel steps. During the match, Nick Wayne’s mother was in the audience and got involved by interfering in the match, hitting Darby with the title belt. This interference ultimately helped Christian Cage retain his title.

Sting attempted to assist his partner, but the combined efforts of Luchasaurus and Wayne gave Cage the upper hand. They were on the verge of executing a devastating con-chair-to on Sting when suddenly, the arena lights went out. A video played, and familiar music signaled the entrance of Adam Copeland into the AEW ring. Copeland initially took the chair from his long-time tag team partner, but instead of attacking Sting, he targeted Luchasaurus and Wayne, allowing Christian Cage to escape the ring.

After that segment, Tony Khan the CEO of AEW announced that Adam Copeland aka Edge will have his first match against Luchasaurus in the following week.
