One of the reasons the team is not performing well is because many players are not performing up to expectations. Players like Marcus Rashford, Andre Onana, Mason Mount have all disappointed fans with their poor performances.
Rasmus Hojlund is also one such player who was signed this summer from Seria A club Atalanta for a huge fee of £64 million. Considering such a fee, one would assume the striker would have scored some goals in the league.

The Denmark international has not managed to score yet. Many have already criticized him and the club for paying so much for an unproven talent. However, his manager, Erik ten Hag, still believes that Rasmus can turn things around.
The Dutchman pointed out Hojlund’s performances in the Champions League and his huge potential, “He’s scored in the highest level in the Champions League with five goals. That’s a huge performance from a young player and you see he has the potential. I’m sure he will get there and score in the PL. I see how he works in training.”

Rasmus Hojlund has so far played in 12 Premier League games, but has not managed to score in any of them. He started nine of them and has a total of almost 800 minutes played. Though he has shown much attacking threat, he has not been able to find the back of the net.
This is due to a number of reasons, with a lack of creativity and service being the main issue. Teammates often fail to pass the ball to him, and his runs into the box are frequently ignored. The midfield has been hugely lackluster this season, and it needs to be addressed soon. He also does not get many touches on the ball or the space to shoot from afar.
Despite this, there is no doubt that Hojlund has potential. He is currently the top scorer in the Champions League, having scored five goals, although he will not be able to add to that tally.
