On the other hand, Formula E driver Sam Bird, on the BBC’s Chequered Flag podcast, strongly claimed that the ongoing investigation would tend to have a profound impact on Red Bull’s fame and reputation in the industry and its sponsors, regardless of the outcome. Multiple years of hard work by the team would only be deflated by a simple spark of controversy surrounding the Milton Keynes-based team.
Bird stated, “It’s going to be a distraction for the team in as much as I think it’s really damning for people involved with the team, so sponsors and potential sponsors. It’s not good for your image, is it? For your team boss to be accused of the things that he’s been accused of is, quite frankly, shocking for Red Bull.”
Christian Horner will work for Red Bull throughout investigations
Despite the tense situation, Horner remains fully committed to his role as the team leader. At the moment, Red Bull has decided to still work with the Britishman, normally like the previous seasons during the Bahrain test week.
