LeBron James has been influential and impactful in all of his stints with three different franchises in the league. One obvious significant stint of LeBron James’ iconic career was when he joined Dwayne Wade on the shores of South Beach during the summer of 2010.
LeBron James’ dominance in teams he has played in the NBA, is owing to his exceptional skills. Most recently, a renowned former NBA star specifically highlighted LeBron’s impact during his stint with one of the teams he’s played for in the past.
Gilbert Arenas defends LeBron James
LeBron James who joined the Miami Heat to play alongside Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, recently made a controversial statement of the franchise not being significant to his dominance records. This controversial statement has sparked widespread reactions which ignited NBA’s former star Gilbert Arenas to air his view and support for the legend.
The former Wizards star Gilbert Arenas said, “Before LeBron [James] got [to Miami], 1st round loss, 15-67, 1st round loss… Then LeBron got there and they went to the championship… When LeBron left, no playoffs. Did he take the Heat Culture with him?”
Gilbert Arenas went on to raise the team’s situation after the departure of LeBron James and said, “LeBron left. Wade and the Heat Culture, and [Chris] Bosh is still there. No playoffs. Did he take the Heat Culture with him when he left? Cause they didn’t make the playoffs.”
Gilbert Arenas’ contribution to the controversial statement suggests that LeBron James was a bigger part of the Miami Heat’s culture, which was reflected greatly in the team’s championship-winning ways. While many might differ from Gilbert’s view, especially when there was the presence of Wade and Bosh on the roster, LeBron still played a major part in the team’s success.
