Despite the official confirmation of Cody Rhodes versus Roman Reigns for the Night 2 main event, WWE is considering the possibility of a match involving The Rock for the Night 1 main event.
Amidst the anticipation for WrestleMania 40, The Rock has now challenged Cody Rhodes for a match at Night 1, before he faces off Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion.

During today’s Friday Night SmackDown, The Rock made a notable appearance alongside Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. As usual, The Rock engaged with WWE fans in the arena, but the dynamics shifted after he responded to Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare, having recently teamed up with Seth Rollins at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view as part of the Grayson Waller Effect, issued a challenge to The Rock for a singles match. On this episode of SmackDown, The Rock not only accepted Rhodes’ challenge but also introduced a new stipulation to the match.

The Rock surprised Cody Rhodes by expressing disinterest in a singles match and proposed a tag team showdown. He suggested that on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins should team up against him and Roman Reigns.
The Rock added a twist to the match, declaring that if Rhodes and Rollins win on Night 1, The Bloodline will be prohibited from ringside during the main event on Night 2 at WrestleMania 40.

After the announcement from The Rock, the WWE fans showed their excitement to witness one of the greatest tag team match in WrestleMania history. With excitement building, fans began making predictions for the match, envisioning various scenarios for the event.
Many fans speculate that The Rock might betray Reigns at WrestleMania, potentially setting the stage for a future championship match between the two for the Universal Championship. Fans added, “So Rocky is gonna screw Roman on night one which means no bloodline and Cody will win, setting up Rocky and Roman.”

Still, there is no official confirmation if this match will happen at WrestleMania, the promotional efforts by WWE strongly suggest that this epic showdown will indeed take place on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40.
