Fans call for drastic actions against Red Bull following “treasure” violation in Belgium GP

Two-time world champion Max Verstappen’s 45-victory trophy met with an unlucky end at the Hungarian Grand Prix on the weekend when Lando Norris’ podium celebrations went wrong, resulting in Red Bull driver Max Verstappen’s handmade porcelain award falling to the ground and shattering.

The manufacturer of the trophy has subsequently started producing a replacement for the Dutchman. It takes more than six months to make one. Now, it appears that Red Bull may need to place another order for a new trophy because this time they managed to have their constructor’s trophy broken at Spa, but this time the damage was entirely their own.

Wild RB celebration sees GP trophy in ruins

Max Verstappen’s five-place grid drop for switching to a new gearbox didn’t stop the reigning world champion from winning the Belgian Grand Prix. Max started the race in position six on the grid. His teammate Sergio Perez was passed on lap 17, and there was no turning back; the Dutchman went on to win by a margin of more than 22 seconds as Perez finished the Red Bull one-two.

Red Bull have found themselves with yet another broken trophy, but this time it wasn’t any other driver’s, and it wasn’t broken during the podium celebration. The sliver constructor’s trophy given to Red Bull Racing broke on camera when the team was recording a video celebrating the win.

It was knocked down when the drivers and other team personnel were running to be saved by the champagne sprayed by the crew members while celebrating the win for a social media post. Max Verstappen ran a few steps but turned back to hear the trophy breaking. He was caught saying, “It’s broken again” on camera.

Fans call for action due following the lack of respect

Red Bull Racing is completely and solely liable for the broken trophy this time. There was already some sort of bitterness among the fans, according to how the McLaren and Red Bull teams reacted to Lando breaking the trophy. They just joked about it, and no official apologies were issued at the start. This behaviour wasn’t really well received by all the fans, as the trophy is a handcrafted masterpiece that took more than six months to make.

And this was the reason the fans were a little bitter about the lack of respect displayed by the teams. McLaren sent out an official apology letter only when the issue blew up.

Red Bull Red Bull

Fans have displayed the same bitterness for the Red Bull team once again as news and videos of them breaking the constructor’s title go viral. People have even gone to the extent of saying that the FIA needs to make a ruling on this situation, and it’s not done on Red Bull’s part. While some other fans state that the Red Bull team has been displaying unacceptable childlike behavior.
