In the recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Tyler Bate, who is both friend and rival to Pete Dunne, made his main roster debut as Butch’s mystery partner. The duo faced off against Kit Wilson and Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly in a tag team match and emerged victorious in their dynamic partnership. Butch’s former faction, the Brawling Brutes broke after ‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus left due to an injury and Ridge Holland was sent back to the NXT brand.
During a backstage segment on the January 12 episode of SmackDown, both Bate and Dunne were seen talking among themselves. Tyler made it clear that he wanted their teaming to continue, but Butch made it clear that he wanted to do everything alone and both of them should go their separate ways.

Tyler clearly offended asked Butch to remember who helped him make a name for himself and said, “You need to look in and ask yourself ‘what is that name going to be’?” The camera pans toward Butch, and as he is about to answer, the screen fades to black.
Butch used to be known as Pete Dunne, but after going for a crazed character persona he changed the name to Butch. Seeing him return to his original name is exciting for fans, as the persona of Pete Dunne is more tamed than the unpredictable character of Butch.
