Finn Balor faced defeat in another title match at WWE SummerSlam 2023 against Seth Rollins. Finn was in a heated rivalry with Seth over the past few months and things seemed settled in SummerSlam.
Finn and Seth faced off against each other in an epic match at SummerSlam 2023 with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Fans were very excited about their fight. But, Finn was unable to secure his win even with the help of Judgement Day members.
Despite all this, a Hall of Famer supports the Irish Captor with his statement.
Hall of Famer speculates Finn Balor’s WWE future
On the latest episode of “The Kurt Angle Show”, The Olympic Gold Medalist was very honest with his thoughts regarding Finn Balor aka Irish Captor falling short of defeating Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship once again at SummerSlam 2023.
“Well, it would have been nice if they would have given him this World Title, I think he’s really over, incredibly athletic. He has a lot of charisma. This kid if WWE doesn’t end up doing something with him that’s dramatic, I wouldn’t blame him if he went off and went somewhere else. I don’t want to see him do that because I love the WWE, and I think he’s a good fit for them. But they need to start putting this kid over. He deserves it.”- Kurt Angle said on his show.
Kurt Angle believes that Finn Balor should have won the World Title at SummerSlam:

Judgment Day is in limbo with ongoing friction involving Balor
Finn Balor has recently had a few problems with his teammates in The Judgment Day. He was very close at SummerSlam 2023 to finally getting rid of his cravings for a title. However, after a hard-fought battle, other Judgement Day members got involved.
While the match should have favored Finn Balor due to Judgment Day’s involvement, the outcome of the match went completely opposite of the expectations.
There have been a lot of quarrels between Damian and Finn since MITB. The team has also not followed the order of the Balor to not interfere in his match at SummerSlam 2023. Finn might possibly do something about this sooner.
Finn Balor should have won the world heavyweight championship. It was his time and it would have been great for the Judgment day. Moreover, there could also be a possible feud with Damian Priest someday in the future.#SummerSlam #SethRollins #FinnBalor #WWE pic.twitter.com/OldAh5uoDv

On the other hand, on last week’s episode of WWE RAW, JD McDonagh unexpectedly took out Sami Zayn before Zayn’s Triple Threat Match with The Judgment Day. It might be a sign he wants to join the group, as he attempted to tilt the odds in the heel faction’s favor last week. If Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest decide to kick out the former Universal Champion tonight, they might as well recruit JD McDonagh as their new stablemate.
