The match card for the upcoming WWE Superstar Spectacle, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad, India, this Friday, has been announced by WWE. Many popular wrestlers, including Rhea Ripley, are set to perform in this event.
However, it’s unusual to witness fans expressing frustration over a match on the card. Unfortunately, fans are not happy as WWE announced Rhea Ripley’s opponent will be Natalya without any build-up in the story. Although this will be their third major face-off.
Rhea Ripley vs Natalya head-to-head
WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, also known as The Eradicator, is set to defend her title against Natalya at this week’s Superstar Spectacle. WWE India confirmed this matchup on Twitter, and the event, scheduled for September 8, marks WWE’s first return to India since 2017.
WWE Superstar Spectacle won’t be the first time Natalya will get a shot at Ripley’s Title. At WWE Night of Champions in May, Ripley defeated the Canadian star, retaining her championship in just seventy seconds. The two wrestlers clashed again in a singles match on the July 4, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw, with Ripley once again emerging victorious.

WWE Superstar Spectacle will be the second show under this name, following an event held in 2021. Unlike the event from two years ago, which was filmed in the Thunderdome, this year’s Superstar Spectacle will be a live event. This Friday’s event will mark the first WWE event at the G. M. C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium and the first WWE event in the city of Hyderabad, India.

After WWE announced the match card of WWE Superstar Spectacle fans became furious about one of the matches that is part of the card. The match that has frustrated fans is the upcoming bout between Rhea Ripley and Natalya at the live event scheduled to be held in India.

Many fans are wondering why Natalya has been chosen as the opponent. From their perspective, there are several other worthy opponents on the main roster for Judgement Day’s Eradicator. One fan expressed on Twitter, “Lol, they always throw Nattie in when they need an opponent and no story build.”
Several retweets echo the same sentiment as the one mentioned. However, it’s worth noting that this match will not air on television, so fans can take a breath of relief, knowing that there is a very high chance of Rhea retaining her title in the upcoming live event.
