The incident involved a display of inappropriate behavior by Morant that was criticized by many people. However, he looks excited now and can’t wait for his return. The Grizzlies played a tough match on Sunday and secured a big dub for themselves and their fans.
Ja Morant uploads IG post showing support for Grizzlies
The Grizzlies were set to face the Portland Trail Blazers with the hopes to get a win and the team did not disappoint. Following their win, Morant posted an Instagram story featuring a photo of him from the back wearing a hoodie with “Grizzlies” printed on the upper section of the clothing. This was his way of displaying support for the franchise and also to remind people that he would be returning soon after his 25-game suspension ends.
Morant is one of the most exciting, and well-paid young players in the NBA. He has been a Grizzlies fan since way before he enrolled for the NBA draft. He has a charismatic nature and is known for his active engagement with the community. His suspension following his second gun fiasco was disappointing and deserved punishment as many children and younger players see him as his idol. It will be interesting to see him return and try to redeem himself on the court.
Grizzlies beat Blazers to earn first win of the season
The Memphis Grizzlies faced the Portland Trail Blazers last Sunday night and secured the first win for them this season. The match was a tough one for both teams where no one could establish a big lead and hold it on to win the game. For a moment the Blazers took the lead and just after some time, the Grizzles would catch up and flip it over.
The Trail Blazers established a narrow lead in the first quarter but were soon overtaken by the Grizzlies who won the second quarter and entered halftime. After the game resumed, the Blazers went on the offense and took back the lead making the score 86-82 at the end of the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Blazers controlled the tempo of the game and played it safe to hold on to the lead. However, with just eight minutes remaining on the click the Grizzlies launched a series of offensive attacks and spectacular defense that snatched the victory with the final score of 112-100.
