Former Eagles star Beau Allen brutally roasts ‘jobless bum’ Jason Kelce after NFL retirement

Over his entire career, spanning more than a decade, Jason Kelce has been the perfect example of a gentleman in the sport. However, that takes nothing away from his menacing on-field persona, which has terrified offenses over several seasons. Many people have found inspiration in his presence on the field, and a lot of athletes in the future will follow in his footsteps.

When asked about the reason behind his retirement, Jason Kelce said that he wanted to spend more time out of the game and with his family. However, it looks like the 36-year-old spends more time with his old Philadelphia Eagles teammates during the offseason. As Beau Allen would say, let’s take a look at what this “jobless bum” has been up to.

Beau Allen mocks Jason Kelce following retirement

On Saturday, Beau Allen, the former Philadelphia Eagles Nose Tackle and one of the best ever from the franchise, needed a ride to The Philly Show. So he took a cab; funnily enough, his cab driver was none other than Jason Kelce, who apparently has a lot of time on his hands after retiring from the sport.

Allen, however, was quick to mock Kelce and uploaded a photo of him being driven to the show by Kelce. He also attached the caption, “Needed a ride to @Philly_Show, thankfully this jobless bum could drop me off #uberdriver.” Fans online saw the funny side of things and unloaded a barrage of comments under the post.

One user commented, “Guys gotta get his life together,” while another quipped, “Surprised he can afford gas at this point,” doubling down on the comment made by Beau Allen.

Jason Kelce and Beau Allen friendship

In July 2022, Allen said goodbye to his NFL career, being among the group of athletes who had opened up with Kelce as he neared his own announcement of retirement. According to People, on one installment of “New Heights” in mid-February, a podcast hosted by Jason Kelce and his brother co-host, Allen, advised his ex-teammate about the transition phase after quitting the NFL by asserting that life outside football games seemed slow and maybe boring.

Just last month, in a conversation with Chris Long (another former teammate), Kelce echoed similar sentiments about his post-football future. While thrilled at the thought of new opportunities, he admitted to apprehension and anxiety for what lay ahead.
