Former NBA champion Lamar Odom approves controversial ketamine therapy amid death of Hollywood icon Mathew Perry

Former NBA champion is a memorable player the world of basketball and had won the Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. However, he fell into a deep hole of drug addiction and was able to escape all thanks to ketamine therapy.

He has recently spoken in favor of Ketamine therapy after the controversial death of Hollywood icon Mathew Perry. Lamar himself had a struggling past where he has dealt with substance abuse.

Lamar Odom has recently approved the ketamine therapy that is known to help people who have been dealing with depression and substance abuse. Lamar talked about his own experience with the controversial treatment method and said it has helped him and has helped a lot of other people.

He talked about the effects of ketamine and his experience. He reportedly said, “Ask your doctor how it can help you, because it surely will help, you cannot do it on your own. I am sure you can’t do it and even drive a car. After I got my ketamine treatments, it is not even safe for me to drive a car, let alone chill out in a jacuzzi.”

He further talked about how ketamine can help people in need, “It has helped me, and it has helped a lot of other people. It can also help you with PTSD and addiction. Something that we all have gone through in the pandemic, we have all got some kind of PTSD or something.”

How did Mathew Perry die?

Last year a lot of people were disheartened by the tragic news of the popular sitcom show F.R.I.E.N.D.S actor Mathew Perry passing away. It was revealed that the Hollywood icon passed away from the acute effects of the drug ketamine. He was found dead in his jacuzzi at his house in Los Angeles. After his death, a lot of people questioned the effectiveness of ketamine therapy and if it did any good.

It is known that Mathew was suffering from depression and anxiety and was on ketamine therapy under the doctor’s supervision. However, experts have speculated that the reason for the death of the Hollywood star is his attempt to administer ketamine to himself on his own. It is very rare to have someone die because of ketamine therapy as per the Medical Director of Mississipi-based Oxford Treatment Center.
